Life Change
Embarking on a total life change can be daunting at any age. For women, on their own or in mid-life – post-career and post children, it is also a wonderful opportunity. I was where you are now and made a full midlife transformation from corporate life and Mum to create a wine château in Bordeaux.

My Story
After a corporate career based in Paris and the South of France, I completely changed my life. In my mid-fifties, I launched an independent winery in Bordeaux - on my own and with no prior experience of the industry. Having thrown myself into wine studies at 52, I bought a parcel of vines with some dilapidated buildings and created a brand-new wine chateau.
Now, nearly 10 years on, I have a boutique winery, Château George 7, in Fronsac. I am making award-winning wines and I have created a tourism destination winning accolades for exceptional wine experiences and events.
Midlife was the optimum time to make this life change - with the skills acquired in previous careers, the freedom to focus on what interested me and to take things at my own pace plus the confidence in my own likes and dislikes that comes with age.
